About Me

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, CJ is an actor whose work spans theatre and film, primarily in Los Angeles. After recently earning his MFA from the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy of Classical Acting, he now calls the DMV home for the foreseeable future.

CJ is a recipient of the 2023 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the World Premiere of Kill Shelter at Theatre of Note. His work in Los Angeles has also been seen at Rogue Machine Theatre and HERO Theatre Company through the Olympia Dukakis Mentorship Program. During his time in the program, CJ was mentored by distinguished theatre artists including Kate Burton, Elisa Bocanegra, and Gregory Berger-Sobeck.

His training spans a wide range of disciplines, from classical tragedy to comedy. He is a graduate of The USC School of Dramatic Arts & The Shakespeare Theatre Company, and has trained with the British American Drama Academy, The Groundlings School, UNC School of the Arts, and Berg Studios.

Most recently, CJ made his DC theatre debut in the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s 2026 production of Othello, starring Wendell Pierce.

Outside of acting, CJ is a proud father to his cat, Pip, and an avid consumer of almond milk cappuccinos.
